Hello, fine people of interverse. Lunamoth founder Amy Hersenhoren and the band Ui are planning to reissue the remix album Unlike some time in the next year. The album will, terrifyingly, turn 10 in 2005.
If you are interested in doing a remix, here's the idea, same as before: Start with the multitrack recordings from any of the records not dealt with on Unlike. (We have the multitracks, so that bit comes later.) Submissions using material from Answers and Lifelike are especially encouraged. Sample and reorganize at will, but use no other sound sources for the foundation. We don't want your default remix #325. New playing and singing over the top is allowed. The remix should draw out qualities lurking in the recordings and work with and against the band's syntax.
Who's eligible? Anyone whose game is tight, though this wouldn't be a good time to try your hand at a first remix. Just email me and we'll rap about it. Thanks.
(If you think we didn't get up to much with that whole two-basses-and-drum-set formula in the course of 13 years, you can shove your fucking glockenspiel up your ass.)
